General Information:

  • When is the summer conference season?

    Manhattan College is available to host conferences annually from mid-June through mid-August. 

  • Are overnight accommodations available during the academic year?

    Overnight accommodations are not available during the academic year due to our own students residing onsite.  

  • What is a Jasper Card?

    A Jasper Card is Manhattan College-issued ID card required for all overnight guests. The card allows access into the assigned residence hall buildings and entry into Locke’s Dining Hall (if applicable).

     

  • Is Wi-Fi available on campus?
    Yes, all areas of our campus including the residence halls offer complimentary Wi-Fi.
  • What is the nearest form of public transportation?

    The Van Cortlandt Park/242 Street subway station is located a block away from campus. The No. 1 train serves this station and offers quick access directly into Manhattan. 

    Buses also run along Broadway just down the hill from campus and near the 242 Street Subway station.

    MTA metro cards may be purchased in advance through our Conference Services office by emailing conferences@manhattan.edu.

  • Is parking available?
    Yes, parking is available by permit and is complimentary through the Office of Conference Services. All guest parking is accommodated within our multi-level, covered parking garage.  
  • Is the campus a smoke-free campus?
    Smoking is prohibited in all Manhattan College facilities and enclosed areas. This includes all residence halls, offices, work spaces, common work areas, auditoriums, classrooms, conference and meeting rooms, elevators, hallways, medical facilities, cafeterias, lounges, staircases, parking garages, restrooms and all other enclosed areas.   • Is the campus safe?
    Yes, Manhattan College’s Public Safety office provides a safe and secure environment for the entire campus community. They are available to provide assistance and emergency response 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for all students, staff, visitors and guests. Officers and supervisors conduct foot and vehicle patrols throughout the day and night.

Overnight Accommodations:

  • What housing amenities are provided in each residence hall room?
    • Each residence hall room contains an extra-long twin bed, desk, chair and a dresser or closet space for each guest.
    • Bed and bath linen is included in the nightly rate.
    • At check-in guests will find a pillow at the head of the bed and a blanket and a linen packet placed at the foot of each bed. The contents of the wrapped linen packet include one fitted sheet, top sheet, pillowcase and bath towel.
    • Shower curtain, bath tissue and garbage pails with liners are provided within each suite and communal style bathrooms.
    • Each guest residing in the residence halls receives a Manhattan College-issued ID card upon arrival which allows swiping access into the assigned residence hall lobby and entry into Locke’s Dining Hall (if applicable).
  • What time is check-in and check-out?

    Guests are welcome to check-in between the hours of 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. on the date of group arrival. The primary check-in location is in the lobby of the assigned residence hall.

    All guests are required to check-out between the hours of 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. on the date of group departure.

    Requests for arrival and departure beyond the scope of the standard hours must be communicated in advance and approved by the Office of Conference Services. 

  • Can I receive mail during my stay?

    Yes, guests may receive mail during your stay on campus. Please contact the Office of Conference Services for details on mailing address and pickup.
